About the Stinson Field Occasional Bulletin

The Stinson Field Occasional Bulletin is a publication of the “Hangar Six Publishing Group” – just a fancy title for what is right now a one-man operation. We hope to continue it on a semi-regular basis – at least monthly if not more often.

The current editor is a flight instructor and publishes this edition as he has time, in between students.

The current editor got the idea from one of the display boxes in the terminal, where some old 1940’s copies of the “Stinson Field Weekly Bulletin” reside. The Stinson Field Weekly Bulletin was published by members of the US Army Air Force during World War Two and contained all kinds of interesting information, comics, and commentary on life at Stinson.

This bulletin is not published, endorsed, promoted, or encouraged by the City of San Antonio, Stinson Municipal Airport management, or any related parties except as noted. All aviation advise given should be checked against current FAA Regulations – which should be complied with.
