Possible new ELT requirements for aircraft
It has come to our attention that the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) has pushed through some rulemaking that may make operations with older non 406 Mhz (121.5) ELTs illegal in the near future – perhaps as soon as 60 days. Stinson Fly-in a Success.
Saturday’s Fly-in was dampened a bit by low ceilings in the morning, but we had two vintage Stinson aircraft on the ramp, and the Mooney crowd supported us nicely with at least six Mooneys making an appearance. We’re looking forward to our next fly-in this fall. Stay tuned for more information!

Runway 9 / 27 Re-opens for Operations!
Well, it’s official! The runway extension for 9/27 will be officially completed tomorrow and a ribbon-cutting ceremony for local dignitaries is scheduled for Friday, March 12th at 2:30 p.m. in front of the tower.
