This was fun to watch at Stinson today – a Cessna L-19 Bird Dog was being used for a banner-tow operation, presumably a great advertising idea because of the crowds that are probably enjoying the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.

Most of you are probably already aware of this, but just in case you aren’t, the FAA has notified pilots that their paper certificates will no longer be valid after March 31, 2010.
